Configure Agent Skills And Capabilities In NexaEra
"Your agent is only as capable as the skills you give it. This is where you turn a simple chatbot into a real workhorse — one that can send emails, take phone calls, process payments, scrape leads, and even generate video. In this walkthrough, I'll show you how to open the Skills tab, validate your setup, and switch on exactly the capabilities your agent needs."

1. Introduction
"Here's what you'll be able to do by the end: open any agent's Skills tab, run a quick validator, and enable the tools it needs across every category — from browser automation and telephony to e-commerce and custom community skills. Let's get into it."

2. Access All Agents Section
"Start by clicking 'All Agents' in the left menu. This opens the list of every agent in your workspace, ready for you to pick one to configure."

3. Open Support & Refunds Assistant
"Click the agent you want to customize — in this case, the Support & Refunds Assistant. If you don't have one yet, you can build a new agent instead. Either way, this opens its full editor."

4. Navigate to Skills Tab
"Along the top of the agent, click the 'Skills' tab. This is your control center for every tool and capability your agent can use — organized into neat categories you'll work through one at a time."

5. Run Skill Validator
"Before turning things on, let's make sure your keys are in order. At the top, find the 'API key resolution validator' and click 'Run validator.' It checks every model, voice, and tool against your workspace and flags anything that's missing or unverified."

6. Add Skill to Vault
"The validator shows what's resolved and what still needs attention. For anything marked 'Unverified' — like a voice or search provider — click 'Add to vault' to securely store its key. Your keys are encrypted and reused across your agents, so you only set them once."

7. Enable Video Generation Tool
"Scroll to 'Generative Video — Veo 3.1.' If you want your agent to create videos on demand, click 'Enable Video Generation skill.' Just add your Google AI Studio key, and your agent can generate short clips right inside a conversation."

8. View Additional Capabilities
"Next, look at the 'Capabilities & Requirements' box. This gives you a live summary of which skills are active and confirms that every enabled skill has its required provider connected. It's your quick health check as you build."

9. Open Skill Registry
"Now scroll to the 'Skill Registry.' This is the heart of the Skills tab — a full menu of tools grouped by category. Toggling a skill on here injects that real tool into your agent's function-calling, so it can actually use it in conversations."

10. Enable First Skill Option
"First category up: Browser Automation. Flip the toggle on the 'Browser Agent' to let your agent navigate websites, fill forms, and complete tasks like a human. You can also enable Playwright Automation for precise scraping, screenshots, and PDFs."

11. Activate Sales Funnel Builder
"Next, find the 'Funnel Builder' and toggle it on. This lets your agent build complete sales funnels in GoHighLevel or ClickFunnels through live browser automation — landing pages, branding, and all, from templates like Webinar or Lead Magnet."

12. Enable Additional Sales Funnel Option
"Now scroll to 'Integration Skills.' This is where you connect the everyday apps — Slack, Email, Google Calendar, Outlook, Gmail, even Zillow lookups. Toggle on the ones your agent needs. A few say 'Connect First,' meaning you'll link that account before the skill goes live."

13. Access Payment Processing Settings
"Want your agent to sell and handle refunds? Find 'Payment Processing' and toggle it on. Powered by Stripe, it lets your agent create payment links, check payment status, and process refunds — with owner approval required for anything over your thresholds."

14. Open Telephony Skills
"Scroll to 'Telephony Skills.' Toggle on 'Outbound Calls via Vapi' to let your agent make autonomous phone calls — it dials the number, runs the conversation, and returns a transcript. You can also enable Bland.ai as an alternative. Just add your key under Integrations."

15. Enable Second Telephony Option
"Next is the 'Meeting Agent.' Turn this on and your agent can join Zoom or Google Meet calls to record, transcribe, and summarize them automatically. It's powered by MeetingBaaS, and your free trial key works with no platform limits."

16. Enable Third Telephony Option
"Now find 'Avatar & Video.' Toggle on 'HeyGen Video Generation' to let your agent create AI avatar videos from a prompt — it generates the video, then polls for the final URL. Great for personalized outreach and async messages."

17. Enable Fourth Telephony Option
"Scroll to 'Productivity & Communication.' Here you'll toggle on tools like Google Sheets, Notion, WhatsApp Outbound, and Airtable — perfect for logging data, updating records, and reaching out proactively. Enable whichever ones fit your workflow."

18. Access E-commerce & Data Skills
"Next up, 'E-commerce & Data.' Toggle on 'Shopify' to let your agent list products, orders, and customers, or 'Database Query' for read-only SQL lookups. Just add your Shopify credentials under Integrations to activate them."

19. Enable Third E-commerce Option
"Now find 'Files & Social Media.' Turn on 'File Generation' so your agent can create CSV and PDF files — think reports and invoices — and 'Social Media' to let it post directly to X and LinkedIn from a conversation."

20. Enable Second LLM Option
"Scroll to 'Social Scraper & Lead Generation.' Toggle this on and your agent can scrape Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Maps for profiles, posts, and business leads — complete with contact info. It's powered by Apify, so add your Apify token to enable it."

21. Enable Third LLM Option
"Next, find 'YouTube Competitor Analysis.' Turning this on lets your agent scrape competitor channels — videos, transcripts, and comments — then run an AI content-gap analysis to spot untapped topics and audience demand."

22. Open OpenClaw Community Skills
"Now let's tap into the community. Scroll to 'OpenClaw Community Skills' and click 'Browse & Import Skills.' This lets you import ready-made skills — like a Web Research Analyst — that get auto-mapped to native tools for real execution."

23. Enable Second Custom Skill Option
"Next is 'MCP Connector Skills.' Toggle on a connector like Notion to give your agent live, real-time access to external data sources. This is how you plug in tools beyond the built-in list."

24. Enable Third Custom Skill Option
"Finally, scroll to 'Built-in Skills' — the always-available essentials. Toggle on the ones you want, like Web Search, HTTP Requests, Summarize, Translate, Code Interpreter, or Data Analysis. These are the reliable core tools every agent can use."

25. Save Draft Changes
"As you work, NexaEra auto-saves your progress — you'll see a 'Draft saved' note at the bottom. Your changes are safe, but they're not live yet. That's the difference between a draft and a published update."

26. Update Agent Configuration
"When everything's set, click the 'Update' button in the top right. This applies all your skill changes and pushes them live to your agent. Don't skip this step — it's what makes all your new capabilities real."

"And that's the full skills setup. You validated your keys and switched on capabilities across every category — video, payments, telephony, e-commerce, scraping, and more. Your agent is now genuinely powerful and ready to work. From here, explore more integrations or fine-tune any skill any time. Fantastic job."
