1. Introduction

"Here's what you'll be able to do by the end: upload a short training video and a consent recording to create your own digital twin — or skip straight ahead and pick a ready-made avatar from the LiveAvatar library."

2. Access All Agents Section

"Start by clicking 'All Agents' in the left menu. This opens the list of every agent in your workspace."

3. Open Support & Refunds Assistant

"Click the agent you want to give a face — here it's the Support & Refunds Assistant. Pick an existing agent, or create a new one if you're starting fresh."

4. Select Live Avatar Feature

"Along the top of the agent editor, click 'Live Avatar.' This uses HeyGen to create and manage your avatars, plus LiveAvatar to power the real-time video session. You'll see it marked 'Not configured' until you set it up."

5. Start Avatar Training Upload

"Under 'Digital Twin — Clone Your Face,' click 'Video Requirements & Tips' to expand it. Read this before you record — it matters. Your training footage needs to be a two-minute-plus MP4 of you speaking naturally, at least 720p, front-facing, with good lighting and a still background. You'll also need a short consent video where you read HeyGen's consent statement with their branding visible on screen. There's a link to their consent guide right there."

6. Upload Training Video File

"Now on the left, under 'Training Footage,' click 'Drop video here or click to browse' and select your two-minute video. It takes MP4 or MOV, 720p or better, up to 500 megabytes."

7. Confirm Video Upload Area

"Next, on the right under 'Consent Video,' click that upload box and add your consent recording. Same formats — MP4 or MOV — and make sure the HeyGen branding is visible on screen or it won't be accepted."

8. Click Start Avatar Training

"With both videos in place, click 'Start Avatar Training.' HeyGen takes it from here and builds your photorealistic clone — usually around five minutes."

9. Load Existing Live Avatars

"Don't want to record yourself? Scroll to 'Use a LiveAvatar Avatar' and click 'Load LiveAvatar Avatars.' This pulls in your migrated or public avatars — a whole library of professional presenters ready to go."

10. Select Avatar for Update

"Browse the gallery and hover over the one you like — options like Judy HR, June HR, or Silas Customer Support. Click 'Select' to assign that avatar to your agent. You'll see a confirmation that it's been assigned."

11. Apply Avatar Updates

"Finally, click the 'Update' button in the top right to save it. Your Live Avatar toggle flips to 'On' and shows 'Ready,' and your assigned avatar appears at the top. Want to swap it later? Just use 'Replace LiveAvatar Avatar' or hit Remove."
