1. Navigate To Deepgram Playground

"First, head over to playground.deepgram.com and sign in to your account. You'll land on the Playground — this is where you can test out Deepgram's voices, transcription, and voice agents right in the browser."

2. Access Free API Key Option

"Look at the top-right corner of the screen. You'll see a button labeled 'Free API Key.' Go ahead and click it — that opens a small popup where we'll set everything up."

3. Name Your API Key

"A modal pops up asking you to name your key. Click the 'Friendly name' field and type something descriptive — I'll just use 'My Voice Key' here. Six months from now, when you're staring at a list of keys, you'll be glad you labeled it."

"Once you're happy with the name and expiration, hit the green 'Create Key' button. Deepgram generates your API key on the spot."
